At Osteopathy Corner we specialized in custom made orthotics. Custom made orthotics are shoe insoles that are especially designed for you based on biomechanical foot and ankle issues you have.
Custom made orthotics can help a variety of pains and dysfunctions from :
plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, and bunions to tendonitis, arthritis and hip pain.

During custom made orthotics assessment our pedortist will interview you to get a better sense of your pain and discomfort and will conduct a foot and ankle assessment as well a biomechanical gate analysis to gain a better understanding of your dysfunction.
Then based he will use our cutting edge 3D foot scanner to generate a 3D image of your feet.

At Osteopathy Corner in Thornhill, we use advanced 3D scanning technology to create perfectly tailored custom orthotics. This ensures precise measurements for optimal comfort, support, and pain relief.
When your casting is done our pedortist will consider all the data he gathered through the interview and his foot and ankle assessment as well as the gate analysis to design your custom made orthotics and the prescription and your foot scans will go to our orthotics manufacturing lab. We work with the best local Canadian orthotics manufacturer. It usually takes between 1-2 weeks for the orthotics to come back from the lab.f you need them urgently, please let us know. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
It’s normal for the first few days you start wearing orthotics for the first time that you will have small pain or discomfort.
For the first two weeks it is recommended to gradually increase the time you are wearing your orthotics each day and slowly get used to wearing them all day long. If after 2 weeks of wearing your custom made orthotics you are still not comfortable wearing them all day and you still feel the pain and discomfort please call an book an appointment our foot specialist will assess your condition and will recommend the necessary changes on your orthotics and it will be sent back to our orthotics lab to be modified at no cost to you.
